xanga photos videos blogrings metros profiles   Tuesday, September 27, 2005  Wine tasting in Connecticut, a little detour before our vigorous activity. Mt. Washington, New Hampshire: 9/24/05 9:30 am Saturday Morning At the bottom of the mountain, getting ready... look at the amount of clothes we have on and the number of people we have. We've reached the mid point. First gorgeous view we saw besides the tall trees. Drinking from the well...water rich in minerals The mountain only gets rockier and steeper as we hike. Cliff hanging lol Min the Superwoman, she can hang on with 2 fingers. We've made it - Team Excel!!! 6288 ft in elevation. We started out at ~2280 ft... so u do the math The highest point in the Northeast. Took us 5.5 hours to get up there.   The two tiny girls with ~50 lb backpacks at the top. Team Excel. We lost 3 ppl tsk tsk. They have shuttles that you bring u up there... those cheaters. On the way down... another 5 hours with a steeper trail. Snacking We ended the trip with a car accident... damn I thought I had a concussion... As much as everyone thinks that I am exagerating, I think the hike was definately a lifetime experience. I've learned so much from it. There are obstacles in life, but we can't give up. Determination and persistence will get u there. It was a great feeling when we finally reached the top and that's how life should be. I am trying to savor every speck of campus life, but don't think I would ever enough time to. There's still so much that I want to do. *sigh I have been looking through pictures every night and think about the good times. It's 4 years already! I've learned and matured so much through these years. College is where I've found myself and the people I've met have totally changed my life. My college life is definately filled with a lot of good memories and that only makes me harder to leave. I would not have trade anything for this fulfilled experience.
